Playing to a sold out crowd, Josh Cashman won hearts over with his Australian accent and undeniable talent at The Riviera on Wednesday. Opening for his longtime friend and fellow Australian Tash Sultana, Cashman sang his catchy tunes of love, life and loss equipped with his laid back persona. Knowing from an early age music was his passion, Cashman took the pause of the pandemic and used it to hone in on his skills, telling Wasserman Music “I wanted this global pause to mean something. I needed to give myself a sense of purpose when there was nothing very positive going on in the world and so I did the only thing I could do which was write, exercise, read and write some more. I’m grateful that I was able to stay motivated and had more than enough time to hone in on my craft and really explore, learn and develop my songwriting and production.”
Folksy, Indie, groovy, enchanting. No matter how you take it, Josh Cashman is an artist not to be ignored. We highly recommend checking out his returning set at Schubas this November, with tickets still available here.
