Operators is one of those bands that I remember going to on a whim, but ended up completey blown away by their material. Their sound has the most amazing mix of retro and modern tones, and their songs are expertly composed. The guys next to me were clearly won over at the very same concert at Schubas because they gushed over the experience while waiting for the band to take the stage.

Being the first night of their current tour, they were playing most of the songs live for the first time. I always love seeing bands at the start of their tour. They’re still working things out a bit and you get to see some real human moments, but we also get to be some of the first crowd reactions they hear and see to th new music. It’s a special experience and Tuesday night was no exception!
