The Drums of NYC played Metro on Wednesday to an enthusiastic crowd. As frontman Jonny Pierce entered the stage, his strong connection with fans was immediately apparent. They almost seemed to worship him and they hung on his every word. Gliding about the stage, Pierce danced to the music with great fluidity and got fans to sway along as he serenaded them. The setlist featured a great mix of old fan favorites with new tracks off their latest release Brutalism, which has good danceability despite the heavy themes present in the lyrics. Fans left the venue that night with a renewed positive energy and smiles on their faces!
