Jimmie Allen played to a packed house at Joe’s on Weed for US99’s Country Night Out. Coming off of multiple weeks of his single “Best Shot” being at Number 1, you could feel the energy in the room. Although Jimmie Allen only has an EP and one full length out, he still was able to get the crowd to sing to every song. In between songs, Jimmie spoke of all his hard work paying off. He reminisced on moving to Nashville 10 years ago, living as a songwriter and working multiple miscellaneous jobs.
You could absolutely see the excitement in his face as he sang a Michael Jackson cover after talking about growing up singing in his local church. Jimmie continued on with a mixture of covers such as Montgomery Gentry’s Gone and hits off his latest album such as “Best Shot” and “Underdogs”. After seeing him play a tiny side stage at Chicago’s Windy City Smokeout Festival to this packed Joe’s, Jimmie Allen is one to look out for this coming year.
