Featured trumpeter Spencer Ludwig, from the multi-Platinum band “Capital Cities”, brings to the Metro his solo artist show alongside “Betty Who”. His new music is attracting many fans because of its jazzy blend of rhythmic funk pop sound, accompanied by his prominent trumpet playing skills. He’s played at various festivals including Lollapalooza, Piqniq, and Austin City Limits. Spencer brought that funky energy back to the Metro that night, which had everyone in the venue dancing and having fun throughout his set. The lighting was colorful with purple and pink lights, which illuminated the room and set the perfect club-scene mood. 2018 is looking like an exciting year for Spencer as he plans on releasing new music as an independent artist, so stay tuned for that as well as new music from his former band, Capital Cities.
