Canadian metal band, Shadow of Everest, has been rocking together for over two years and they recently released their EP Idle Hands this past June. Shadow of Everest cites legendary heavy rock and metal bands like Led Zeppelin, Rush, Metallica, and Iron Maiden as influences and have been compared to bands like Tool, Black Sabbath, and Queens of the Stone Age.
Despite the fact that they have much in common with so many well-established and successful bands, Canada’s “prog” rock genre doesn’t get a lot of attention, so the band has to build their fan base almost literally one at a time. While the internet has helped them reach potential new fans, they band is still putting in the hard work to make their sound better and expand their fan base.
