Australian surf-punk duo, Hockey Dad, played Lincoln Hall this past weekend and got Lincoln Hall jumping like I’ve never seen it before! The band is due to release Blend Inn in February, and fans were treated to a preview of some of the songs off the album. The duo was playful with the crowd and encouraged them to dance along or stage dive during the set. The crowd came through and quickly became one of the more spirited crowds I have seen at Lincoln Hall. My only issue with the night was that Hockey Dad was first on the bill and only played for about a half hour. With chants of “one more song!” after their set, it quickly became clear I wasn’t the only one wishing for more.
