The Riviera Theatre was packed tightly last Saturday night with one of the most eclectic crowds I have ever seen. There were hippies (which I expected at a bluegrass show), but there were also girls with designer bags, guys in vests adorned with punk rock patches, grungey folk, and people of all ages. Already, I could tell that The Devil Makes Three had a unique sound that brought music fans of all backgrounds together.
Their fan base is dedicated, and when the band took the stage, the place went wild. With a beautiful mix of instruments, the band thrilled concert-goers with upbeat, fast-paced hits, as well as a handful of covers of legends like Tom Waits, Hank Williams, and Peggy Lee. Their setlist easily exceeded 20 songs, and after a long night of dancing and singing along, fans left feeling satisfied and happily tired. For more photos, click below
