Cage the Elephant @ UIC Pavilion 6/7

on

Tuesday, in my opinion, is the worst day of the week.  You’re not feeling as rejuvenated as you were on Monday, and Friday still seems so far away.  Things are bleak.  BUT!  Cage the Elephant is coming Tuesday night to the UIC Pavilion, and that should totally add some pep to your step!

They boys of Kentucky are currently headlining an arena tour in support of Tell Me I’m Pretty, their newest release.  This album is a total gem.  It has slower songs that are perfect for a lazy summer day, and true to Cage’s signature style, high energy songs with a major kick that wake you up and shake you up.

Their first release, “Mess Around,” was Cage’s 6th to reach Alternative #1 on radio charts, making them one of only seven bands with more than five #1’s in the 28 years of the Alternative chart.  Bravo, men!

For those of you who haven’t seen Cage the Elephant live and are planning on snagging a spot close to the barrier, prepare yourself for lead singer Matt Shultz.  He might just end up standing on top of you.

Portugal. The Man will be opening for Cage Tuesday night.  Grab your tickets here, and check out my personal favorite from the new album below!
