Summerfest 2015

Yes, I know that Milwaukee isn’t Chicago, but it’s close enough, am I right?  Summerfest boasts a pretty buff lineup this year.  Marcus Amphitheatre headliners include Florida Georgia Line, Kings of Leon, Keith Urban, Zac Brown Band, Ed Sheeran, Kendrick Lamar, and Linkin Park…all for an additional price.  [For all ticketing information, click here]

HOWEVER!  What I am most excited about is the lineup for the regular admission price (just $19 per day or $45 for 3 days of your choice).  Some of my favorite ground stage headliners include The Flaming Lips, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Santigold, Jane’s Addiction, Buddy Guy, The Doobie Brothers, The Kooks, Sammy Hagar and the Circle, Flogging Molly, AWOLNation, Sublime with Rome, Coheed and Cambria, Dirty Heads, Gogol Bordello, Delta Spirit, Vance Joy, The New Pornographers, The Faint, Whitesnake, Punch Brothers, Third Eye Blind, Kansas, Foghat, Shakey Graves, and The Mowgli’s.  Well done Milwaukee, well done.  For the full lineup, click here.

Summerfest runs June 24-28 and June 30-July 5th and is a force to be reckoned with this year.  Apart from single day admission and 3-day passes, there exists a mythical 11-day Power Pass available through June 1 at 68 Pick n’ Save locations across Wisconsin.  What?!  This seems Willy Wonka-esque to me…  According to Summerfest’s website, “the “11 Day Power Pass” is available at last year’s price of $70 with qualifying purchase of a Gatorade, Quaker or Nabisco product. The pass will then be available for $80.”  Sounds like a fun weekend road trip to me!  All select Pick n’ Save locations are listed here.

Our neighbors to the North have given us a pretty solid alternative to Lollapalooza, so don’t be too sad if you didn’t get those tickets today!
